color block crochetdog bed

Like so many projects, this color block dog bed started as something else (a blanket) and changed midstream….when I ran short of yarn and couldn’t find any more of the same yellow.  It turned out to be a good thing, Tahoe needed a new dog bed at work and it was just the right size.  This would also make a great floor pillow.  It ended up being about 3′ x 3′.

For the foam, I tried looking at Walmart and Micheals but they were quite expensive for a small amount of foam.  On Prime day I went on Amazon and found a double (full) 2″ thick mattress pad for $40.00.  I cut 3 layers for the dog bed, and then I had enough left to make a foam pad for my lazy boy.

It took Tahoe about a week to get used to his pillow, he’s a creature of habit.  But he is happily snoozing under my desk at work again.
