This crochet cable scarf is a perfect match for either the slouchy beanie or next weeks post, cabled slouchy hat. I decided to make this as a regular scarf, but it can easily be made into an infinity scarf by sewing the ends together.
What You Need
- 1-Caron Cake
- 5.5mm crochet hook
- darning needle
Stitches Used
- ch – chain
- sk – skip
- dc- double crochet
- fpdc – front post double crochet
- bpdc – back post double crochet
Crochet Cable Scarf Pattern
Ch 28
Row 1 – Dc in the third ch from hook and in each across (27). ch2, turn
Row 2- Dc in next 4 st, fpdc over next 2, dc in next 5 st, fpdc over next 3, dc in next 5 st, fpdc over next 2, dc in last 5 st. ch3, turn
Row 3 – Dc in next 4 st, sk next bpdc over next then bpdc over skipped, dc in next 5 st, sk next bpdc over next 2 then bpdc over skipped, dc in next 5 st, skip next bpdc over next then bpdc over skipped, dc in next 5 st
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you are happy with the length. I made mine from one full cake and I ended up with a 6 3/4″ x 6′ scarf.
Weave in ends.
