This past week has been busy! My youngest son left for work in Saskatchewan this morning, and the last week we were packing, finding furniture, and I was cooking some easy meals for him. He’s going to be out there for the next few months on an irrigation job, 10 hours a day outside….and SK gets really cold! It’s already been -30C out there, and as we get deeper into winter it can be -50C with the windchill.
So I made him a merino wool toque (that pattern will be out next week), and I found these huge balls of yarn at Walmart that were close to the same colors. So I figured that I would make him a matching scarf. Got about halfway done when I decided to show him, and he informs me that he won’t wear a scarf. Teenagers…..
When it’s cold, I don’t care how I look, I just want to be warm.
But, it did get me to write this cable infinity scarf pattern, which is a nice easy pattern once you get the hang of it. It is a 2-row repeat using front and back post double crochet stitches, perfect for when you are binge watching.
If you are interested in a printable PDF of this pattern it is available in my Etsy store for $2.50 CAD.

Hi Megan! Lovely pattern, thanks for sharing it. And don’t worry – I live in Saskatchewan and it’s quite nice right now, so your son is fine, I’m sure. The -30 only happens once in a while, and besides, it’s a dry cold!!
Hi! I’m glad you like the pattern. Thanks for the reassurance, I talked to him this week and he said that it was quite nice. The guys that he works with made it sound horrible….but they might just like to whine.
