If you are looking for a unique pillow to jazz up your living room check out this crochet knot pillow.
It took me about a week to do, working on it in the evenings. Not bad for a show stopping piece! So while I caught up on the last season of Pretty Little Liars (so many unanswered questions!) I made up a knot pillow.
This ends up being about 9″ x 10″, and is quite comfy to cuddle up with on the couch.
What You Need
- 1- ball of Caron One Pound Yarn-Medium Grey(you’ll use about half the ball)
- 2-balls of Caron Simply Soft Brites Yarn, 6 Ounces/315 Yards, Blue Mint, Single Ball
- 5.5 mm crochet hook
- magic circle
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet (you’ll be doing a ton of these!)
- sc dec – single crochet decrease
- slst – slip stitch
Crochet Knot Pillow Pattern
The entire pattern is made holding 2 strands of yarn together.
Row 1 – 6 sc in a magic circle, slst to first sc (6)
Row 2 – Ch1 (do not count, now and throughout), 2 sc in same st and in each around (12), slst to 1st sc (not ch 1 – now and throughout)
Row 3 – Ch1, 1 sc in same st, 2 sc in next, repeat around. slst to 1st sc. (18)
Row 4 – Ch1, hdc in same st, and in each around. slst to first hdc (18)
Row 5 is repeated until you have a 14.5′ tube. I know it’s a lot of hdc’s but it’s going to be worth it! Settle in with the latest season of your favorite show.
Don’t forget to stuff as you go, I stuff about every 4″.
When you are ready to finish:
Decrease row – Ch1, sc dec around. slst to 1st sc.
Fasten off, leaving one end 8″ long. Bury shorter end into the tube. Weave the longer end thru the last row, pull tight, tie a knot and bury in the tube.
This video shows you how to tie the pillow (not mine, just the best one I found).
