Dog Paw Coaster

A couple months ago my mom suggested that I make cat butt coasters, I thought that there was no way that they would sell.  Boy was I wrong.  I have a lot on Handmade@Amazon, and a few on Etsy as well.

So today I decided to make some dog paw coasters, and see how they do. If you would like a printable PDF of this pattern, you can find one here

This is a quick and easy pattern, if you need a quick gift for the dog lover in your life this is perfect.  You just need some pink cotton yarn for the pads, and then another color for the paw.  All 4 coasters use about 70 grams of yarn.  They end up being about 3.5″ wide, and 4.5″ tall.

What you need

For all 4 coasters, you need about 70 grams of yarn.

Stitches Used

  • ch – chain
  • magic circle
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • sc – single crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • slst – slip stitch
  • st – stitch

stitches in brackets () are made in the same space

Important Tip

The chain 1 at the beginning of each row is not counted, and do not work in it.  Slip Stitch to the first half double crochet (or single crochet) in the round, and work the first stitch of that row in the same stitch as the chain 1.
